Some snapshots of our life in Edmonton, for family and friends who might be interested. I hope to update this about once a week - so check back in when you have a minute or two...
Canucks???
(from Wikipedia)... The Random House Dictionary notes that: "The term Canuck is first recorded about 1835 as an Americanism, originally referring specifically to a French Canadian. This was probably the original meaning, though in Canada and other countries, Canuck now more often refers to any Canadian."
We are now permanent residents of Canada, which may not qualify us to be Canucks, strictly speaking, but we're more Canuck than any other Williams in our family ... and proud to be!

Mother's Day 2008
Matthew came over with his roommate Rob, and the 2 of them fixed BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, and garlic-butter baby carrots, all on the grill. We supplied mashed potatoes and watermelon. Those boys are good cooks!

...I took a picture of this sign on my way to work - the other half of it (not shown) advertises an Edmonton lawyer. I thought this picture summarizes a lot of what we like about Canada - a sense of globalism and care for others, instead of the "God bless ourselves" messages you see all over the USA.
News Flash
West Edmonton Mall, North America's largest mall, is being used as the set for a Christmas movie coming out this year, starring Patrick Swayze, Carmen Electra, and Leslie Neilson. Which means when you go to the mall this month, they still have Christmas decorations up. You can check out some pictures of the filming at http://www.westedmall.com/hours/movie.asp. If you come see us, we'll take you to the mall, and then when you see the movie, you can say "I've been there!"
Oh - and btw, we put in applications to be extras in the movie. If they call us, and we make it into the movie, we'll give you an autograph or something.
